Our Mission
The FKND Foundation is an independent non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of the children of Ghana. Focusing on serving the needs of children with cognitive and physical disabilities, FKND collaborates with governmental organizations, parents and guardians, teachers, advocates, and the broader community to remove systemic barriers that prevent children with disabilities from reaching their full potential.
Our Vision
FKND supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. To this end, FKND focuses on Sustainable Development Goal 4 which declares: “Education enables upward socioeconomic mobility and is a key to escaping poverty”. Accordingly, FKND works to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all children by providing health screening in the areas of vision, hearing eyes, and other impairments which require urgent medical attention.
